We started out as the training department of a very large insurance business and developed into a fantastic infrastructure training 1,200 employees.
Over time, a gap in the market was identified: smaller businesses who don’t have the resources for in-house trainers and who were at mercy of “off the shelf” providers.
In 2012 – the year of the London Olympics - we opened up our training facility to the rest of the market, helping hundreds of insurance professionals take their careers “higher, faster, further”! At the time, we had one key guiding principle: keep it affordable and keep it accessible.
By 2014, we were large enough to go it alone. We ‘consciously uncoupled’ from the insurance company, and became an independent training provider: Wiser Academy.
Since then, we have gone on to do some amazing things! Here are a few highlights:
- Secured Government accreditation to deliver apprenticeships.
- Developed first ever degree programme for insurance.
- Set up a recruitment arm, matching our talented learners with great opportunities with our brilliant clients.
- Won (and shortlisted for) numerous prestigious industry awards including the British Insurance Awards
In 2022 we were honoured and delighted to be awarded an “Outstanding” grade by OFSTED.
